Quantifying Film and Television Tourism in England

SPI undertook a major study for Creative England in association with VisitEngland to quantify the impact of screen tourism at film and television drama locations. The project involved extensive in-person and online surveying at eight locations across England, outside of London, with a new methodology developed in order to isolate and value core screen tourists at each. The work also resulted in an estimate for the value of international core screen tourists visiting such locations in England, outside of London, as well as providing a range of insights for maximising the screen tourism opportunity.
A report briefing was held in Westminster to launch the project.
